I spent an enjoyable if very windy morning at Camber Sands in the excellent company of Harsharn Gill H4rsx yeasterday. We missed the sunrise but had some great skies and beautiful light throughout the morning.
This is a shot of one of the sand fences in the dunes.

We managed to dodge the occasional shower and half an hour after I took this shot the heavens opened.

The fence patterns on the sand make for great FG interest along with the fence itself, which is also a great lead in to that great sky as well as supplying depth through receeding symmetry. The whole comp is nice and uncluttered and very effective. Smile

Beautiful shot Derek I like the foreground and the brooding sky and the way you have caught it at just the right time to have enough light to produce the light shafts through the fence and have the dark clouds in the shot as well

The back lighting has given some lovely texture to the sand and shadows, Derek. A very dynamic lead in with the fence, and the sea, reeds and clouds add the 'weather'.

All been said but I do like the shadows on the sand. I quite like it as a square without the sky too, just noticed when scrolling down to write this Smile

Great shadows on the sand and I like the inclusion of the curve on the right. The whole picture has a gentle feel to it which I really like SmileSmile

Apologies for the delayed response. I love this shot and it looked equally as impressive in the back of your camera. A carefully picked out composition and subtle light has really brought this to life. The textures and lay of the sand is simply exquisite. A pleasure to meet you Derek and be in your company. I'll shout the next time i'm down. Wink
