A fine shot of this juvenile swan, the detail and colours in the plumage are superb. It would have been even better had you managed to get down to ground level to photograph it, if that was possible

Since you have such youth on your side in this type of situation, laying on your stomach may have given you the shot you desired, let me know if you try it and if the results are what you wanted.

I'm not sure I'd want to lay down on a dirty path (I've seen the size of swan poo!), but I can see where your earlier commenters are coming from, the lower the better. You've caught this youngster's curiosity brilliantly. It can be a bit scary being close to swans, especially the adults!
