A recent shot of Edinburgh Castle from the Mound with the up-market and expensive properties of Ramsay Garden on the left..........a different view to the usual.
The flags and straight strip above the rooftops upper left are part of the upper seating structure on the Castle Esplanade, erected for the Edinburgh Military Tattoo which is staged during the International Festival in August.

My thanks to all for the comments on Mary Rose and it was interesting to know how the two versions fared, roughly 50/50 split: and a big thank you to Netta {netta1234} for her User Award which is much appreciated and encouraging.

Ronnie.

An unusual shot of the castle, however one which clearly works Ronnie. Both clarity and quality in depth.

A new angle Ronnie and a good one including the gardens.
you fared better with your sky than we did on a visit ton Monday.
Composition is interesting when you see how other photographers approach a subject
and is good for training our eyes.

The slope gives a good dynamism to the composition and it is beautifully exposed with lots of detail, Ronnie. A concise and detailed description as well. Which of the houses is your Edinburgh pad though? GrinGrin
