Meconopsis or Himalayan Blue Poppy photographed at Drumlanrig Castle Gardens last June: unfortunately I have nipped the righthandmost petal.

My thanks to all who commented on Pollok House.

Ronnie.

Have never before seen a blue poppy, indeed, didn't know there was such a thing! This a beautiful specimen, very well taken, we'll forgive you the wee indiscretion! Wink

Simply beautiful, a very well captured and processed image of this most beautiful flower Ronnie. The soft blue hues adding to their charm ten fold. As for the clipped petal, "What the heck?" Life is too short to worry over such trivialities...

As you'll be well aware, a flower which is so close to my heart! Roll on the time when they are in flower again in my garden! Beautifull captured. The colours, details and textures are spot-on!

Wonderful colour, and the separation from the background makes it stand out from the screen. I would probably have just clone out a bit of the end of the petal !!

Very beautiful, Ronnie, excellently captured as we've come to expect from you Smile As regards the bit on the right hand edge, I probably would have done as Dave (WhiteRose1) suggests and cloned out the end of the petal! But it is nit-picking, and it's a stunner just as it is Wink

The main flower is beautifully captured and in the same frame you have included examples of it in its various stages of development. It all stands out well against the natural defocused background.
