Meconopsis or Himalayan Blue Poppy photographed at Drumlanrig Castle Gardens last June: unfortunately I have nipped the righthandmost petal.
My thanks to all who commented on Pollok House.
Ronnie.

Beautiful composition Ronnie, excellent colour and detail,
Fred.
Stunning clarity and great DOF Ronnie.

Trev.
Certainly the prima donna of poppies!
Wonderful delicate textures and subtle blues.
Doesn't spoil ( the nipping ) the effect Ronnie. One of my favourite flowers ! Beautiful.![]()

Simply beautiful, a very well captured and processed image of this most beautiful flower Ronnie. The soft blue hues adding to their charm ten fold. As for the clipped petal, "What the heck?" Life is too short to worry over such trivialities...

Wonderful colour, and the separation from the background makes it stand out from the screen. I would probably have just clone out a bit of the end of the petal !!
Dave
Very beautiful, Ronnie, excellently captured as we've come to expect from you
As regards the bit on the right hand edge, I probably would have done as Dave (WhiteRose1) suggests and cloned out the end of the petal! But it is nit-picking, and it's a stunner just as it is ![]()
