One of my daughters bought me some plants for Mother's Day - they are beautiful and I can't wait until the weather perks up enough to be able to plant them out.
One of the plants is this Snakeshead Fritillary - I love SFs and have planted some in the garden, but each year the pheasants comes and eats them before they flower. Last year my daughter planted some in a hanging basket, I've noticed the SFs are though and budding!!
But it's lovely to have some wonderful flowers to admire now!

I thought they were out in bloom in the wild already when I saw the thumbnail!
Hopefully they should be out in bloom again in a few weeks time
