The result of Constant North winds in Northumberland.
The first of a mini series on trees this week.
Well observed and well captured.
A simple but eye catching image ~ super sky
It's amazing how it survives, Dan, well spotted and captured. Carol
Nice Image!! I like this a lot!!
I love the composition here Dan.
Great image Danny
A limbo dancing tree
First class composition Dan.
Wonderful shape, Danny, and a lovely sky as backdrop.
Love trees in any shape or form and this one is amazing
great capture indeed, shaped by the elements
What an amazing find, even by Northumbrian standards!
Love Glyn's comment...
A wonderful shape. It even has two legs.
Northumbrian winds can sometimes blow from other directions; occasionally they even do the hokey-cokey and turn around (that's what it's all about); but they must have performed some highly complicated convolutions to produce a tree like this.
And the photo is pretty wonderful too.
Extraordinarily beautiful Danny - a great find; look forward to more! I love trees.
Gosh looks like how I feel at times
a lovely captured and interesting shot Danny
Looks like a gnarled old man, bent with age. The wind here today is out of the WNW at about 35MPH. The trees are swaying like grass.
I'll look forward to this series.
Incredible shape. Great colours and composition
brilliant colour and light danny wonderful detail and comp a cracker nice one
A wonderfully observed, composed and captured image with great light and Northumbrian colour.
Great clarity and composition.
beautiful light, colours & visual composition
Looks like a demented transformer...I wonder what it transforms into?
Giid to see you can get your models to bend over backwards for you, Dan.
Amazing what the weather will do, and what trees will do to survive constant onslaughts of wind.
In Northern Norway the mountain birches lean in every which direction also.
This could become another iconic tree. Top shot.
Marvellous image for the first tree of the series Danny. I sometimes feel like this in the morning when my rheumatics are giving me bother.

Dougie I feel like that most days even when my rheumatics aren't giving me bother.
Oh tell me what was on your road, ye roarin’ norlan’ Wind,
As ye cam’ blawin’ frae the land that’s niver frae my mind?
My feet they traivel England, but I’m deein’ for the north.
My man, I heard the siller tides rin up the Firth o Forth”
