Taken about noon today looking across the River Calder. There was so little colour in the shot it wasn't worthwhile trying to process it as a colour shot.

Alan, that is a really great shot!
I understand what you said in your description about the colour shot and it not being worthwhile processing.
I've taken so many dull/no sun/no real brightness/no contrast day photos recently; processing them to try to bring out something that isn't really there in blooming hard work!!

The only good thing about all the snow is how it transforms the appearance of the land for photography, and you have captured a fine view of the Calder valley so well. Looks very cold and I bet your fingers were too.
