Saw hundreds of these yesterday and as the weather wasn't so good they weren't so active. I think this one may have recently emerged and was drying it's wings.

Large is best if time allows.

Of the few I have seen I have never seen them in this pose.

This is a superb image, I believe it is a Cinnabar Moth rather than a Burnet. They both inhabit the same type of territory. Sylvia
