First light catches the distant fells across Derwentwater with the top of Skiddaw shrouded in cloud. Only the faint click of activating shutters punctuates the silence.

2 secs @ f14, ISO 100 + 2 stop ND grad [hard] + 2 stop full ND.

The early morning light and pale pastel colours are beautifully captured, and with the jetty and boulders standing out more starkly against that backdrop, this is a most attractively composed image. So peaceful and refreshing. Excellent shot, Paul.

The level of the post tops doesn't bother me Dave as I feel the slight mist has helped to knock back the distant land & trees and provides enough separation for me. That said, the camera was pretty much at full extent here, as I wanted to get just some of the walkway top into the shot rather than it being almost side on. So the only way to probably get that angle would be for some steps and a bigger tripod Smile
