My first offering to you from my visit to the Eden Project. I was amazed at how well these leaves came out, and I've not manipulated them in any way. The warm atmosphere inside the biome, combined with continual water spray, steamed up my lens a lot, and I was silly enough to leave my tripod connection at the B&B, too. But perseverance paid off. These are 2 separate shots, each one flipped, to see what you think.
(1/8 & 1/11sec @ f4.4, 13 & 10mm FL, ISO400, AP, -0.3step Ev).
Vs 2 and 4 are flipped versions of Vs 1 and 2.
Pamela.

I do not have enough photographic knowledge to go in to detail of why I like these, I suppose its the shapes and patterns and the nice lighting, a lovely effect and great images. - gary

What a super set of leaves Pamela. I love the swirls and curves and the contrasting dark and light colours. V3 and V4 appeal most to me. I think this is because lighter leaf is enclosed. That seems to direct the eye back into the picture more effectively than the open ended V1 and V2

The light has certainlycome out to perfection.
When I took my pictures in the Eden Project I had no trouble with the lens steaming up, I took the lens cap off before I got into the 1st biome which allowed it to warm up, and left it off all the time and never put it back on until I came out into the open. Of course I had a UV filter on and I made a point of steering clear of the bursts of steam that were evident in the tropical biome.

A set of striking abstracts Pamela, I love the light and colour in these. The last time I went to the Eden Project I had the same problem with my lens misting up and it took ages to clear, I've since picked up a useful tip that if you put your camera in a polythene bag and seal it, go into the biome and wait for the camera to reach the same temperature then unwrap it and it should be ready to use.
Worth a try.
Regards
Fran
