Imagine how thrilled I was to discover this wreck displayed in all its dilapidated glory in Torrevieja Harbour, Spain, but at the same time disappointed that it was surrounded by temporary fencing and other annoying obstacles. No doubt they are working on this site, as they have been on the rest of the area, which I hope to see when I return.
Still, I think my little compact did a great job, especially considering the bright sunshine. It was hard to choose which of the 6 versions to lead with, but you have some idea of the harbour area in the last two.
HERE'S A LITTLE PUZZLE FOR YOU: Can you spot the sleeping cat in V3???
Pamela.

Excellent series, V3 stands out for me, cat or no cat.
Nice set of images with beautiful colour, clarity and light.. I like V1's composition and light..Yeah, I saw the cat, how lovely
...
You did excellent job with your compact camera, I actually feel that compact produces a kind of water colour painting image that DSLR doesn't have....
BTW, thank you very much for your kind help and MOD on my photo and monitor..I'm still 'hallucinating'... seeing the greens...& even more now![]()
An excellent set, especially with your compact, Pamela
Certainly looks like it needs a lick of paint... And yes, I can the see the cat in V3 - it's just below centre under that beam! ![]()

An excellent set of images Pamela, that cat took some spotting
Superb set , Pamela - it's very nostalgic indeed, to see this old lady in this situation - I've seen the cat as well
- excellent set - it represent exactly what in philosophy is calling '' ugly aesthetics''
Regards Daniel
Great series. I like V3 because of the sun bleached timber. You have show the lines and shapes to perfection.
You may know this already, there is a very photogenic wreck at Dell Quay, go to pub and walk 50 metres to the right. I got some sunset shots of it that are ok.
regards
Ian
Many thanks for all your votes and comments, so glad you all found the sleeping cat. I didn't notice it until I came to edit it.
MICK: Special thanks to you for giving this your User Award.

Great set of photos. It is a shame fencing is needed round it. V1 for me. Sue
I'm jumping around and not lingering long anywhere at the moment, having just got back from holiday, but I had to find the cat. Delightful set!

An excellent set of images. Each version is so sharp and clear, and the first 4 at such interesting angles.

I like your title today although I have reservations about it's accuracy![]()
A great set documenting the decay with such detail and captured textures, and the compact producing images every bit as could have been obtained with an SLR.....they really are superb nowadays, and I often use my Canon PowerShot G9.
Ronnie.
Such wonderful Spanish light! Lovely textures too Pamela - interesting series - and your camera did a grand job along with you pressing the shutter button - I don't think you ever take a bad photo to be honest - I don't think you know how to. And I mean that most sincerely I do.
Sues
