Staying with the flowers theme, here is a rhododendron taken at Exbury Gardens, near Beaulieu, Hampshire.
Their show of rhododendrons and azaleas is second to none, an absolute riot of colours.
I have changed the background, and have lost my Exif data in the process, so here it is:-
AP, f4.5, l/75sec, ISO100, -1step EV, FL11mm, daylight.
Pamela.
A big thankyou to Lillian for giving her User Aware to New Zealand Flax.

Colours are beautiful - gorgeous detail also. I'm finding the lower half just a tad dark - would have liked to see a bit more of a graduated change in tonal value.

What a stunning colour, Pamela, and you have presented it to perfection. I totally agree with you, Exbury is the No. 1 place to visit for rhodos and azaleas. Carol

This is brilliant Pamela, pin sharp clarity and beautiful light and colour.

As for the bottom being a tad dark I think this helps to train the eye on the flower, just my opinion of course.

What a beautiful bloom Pamela, the colours and presentation are first class. I must take issue with you when you say that the display of azaleas and rhododendrons in Exbury Gardens is second to none, those in Lydney Park in the Forest of Dean take some beating!Tongue
