The relationship between the old lady, remembering when she could hoola-hoop and the young girl who is unaware of the effect she is having on the old dear's memory. Classic 50's look to the processing.

Quote: It's a pleasat shot i think however, it gets confusing in understanding who the main subject is and therefore, difficult to understand the message of the photo!
It's a good point. I thought about a tighter crop, but the lead in lines created by the typography were then lost.
Basically it's about memories - the old person remembering days past reinforced by the classic quotations embedded in the carpet.
