Firstly, I would like to thank Leon (Tibetan) for favouring my Rights of Man 1 with his User Award.

Still continuing with my sculptures series, I'm showing some more of the "Rights Of Man" sculpture in Santo Domingo Square, Murcia, Spain. Also known as the Peace Monument, it's a monument to human rights, by one of the most important Spanish sculptors of his generation, Mariano Gonzalez Beltran, who has a wide international presence and imbues his work with “idealistic or humanist figuration”, quite unmistakeable in the contemporary art scene.
The statue consists of many bronze figures making a circle of life-sized standing linked men, women and children, and symbolizes a society living in harmony with the rights of man.

This is one of the faces of the children. (I think Brian was hoping for her doll to be included, so I apologise for the exclusion, but also now regret having excluded it ). This one was in shadow, so I used flash.
V2 is the face of another child.
V3 is what I think is a globe held by one of the statues.
V4 is the same as last time, the whole sculpture from one side, to give context.

Pamela.

V1 shows a delightful expression on the little girls face Pamela - good to see her again in with the doll in V4.Wink
Strange some figures are so detailed while others just show part human form.

I can't pick out a single one as they are all great in my eyes, the artist is very competent and has a understanding of human beings construction, this comes to the fore, and Pamela has captured his understanding of that! it is the same with the other figures with the horses! you either see it or you don't! you bring inanimate objects to life!Pamela, regards Leon.GrinGrinGrinGrinGrinGrinGrin
