This is an uphill wooden walkway at Marwell Zoo.
Typical of me again, you'd expect pictures of animals from a zoo, but I bring you shadows.
I'm getting into this Saturday Shadows thing!
4 versions. V2 is not a crop, but a different picture. Vs 3 and 4 are the colour versions.
Again, I wasn't sure which one to lead with, or whether it should be mono or colour.
Pamela.

Two wonderfully captured images with two great variants. For me the monochrome versions seem to have more impact and thus in turn are more appealing so it's images one and two for me today Pamela

A very strong composition and an excellent shot for the Saturday shadow theme.
For me the B and W versions have more drama and I am torn between V 1 and 2.

A most enjoyable set, Pamela. I would probably go for V2, too.
So glad you are getting in to the theme, for which I take no credit (it was actually Tony (Tony64)'s idea to start with) despite the finger often pointing in my direction. It has proved a very fruitful and versatile topic as it can be interpreted in at least two ways (shadows falling on main subject or shadows of main subject, with or without subject visible). Shadows are constantly changing and seldom the same, they can advance and retreat, make me look leaner (I wish) or fatter (sigh**); I could harp on about them for ages but had better not. Oh, just to say they are more flexible than PS can ever be. Welcome to the club!
Regards
Bill

Needs the left hand rail in the shot so v1 or v3 for me but I'm going to sit on that fence as to which is the stronger Grin.

Have to confess, mono is really not my thing and I nearly always prefer colour. This time, however, I am in no doubt and it's V1 for me with those wonderfully strong shapes and lines. It's a stunner!

Prefer the b/w versions, I find the b/g sky a bit distracting in the colour versions. Like V1 & V2 equally.

I like shadows... I prefer mono, and the cropped one. Actually, I might prefer to crop it further...I just rolling up and down V2 a bit..I sense that if it is as a whole picture, the foreground shadow seemed a bit heavy to me, but it could be an advantage if the top part was cropped. So either crop the top up to the cross part of the fence; or keep the top, crop more than half of the bottom...just a thought. Show you here, easier to try one than talking.Wink
