One summer night the lovers lay down in the green.......

I was thinking about an old folk song when I made the imag About a boy who lived in the woods (a tree spirit boy)
took the lovely maiden of the village into the woods
and made her pregnant, later she went back
(down into the green to find herbs to twine the babe from her)
these words stuck in my mind, so the baby is growing under the tree roots
to become part of the two, but also part of the spirit of the forest.
thanks again for the lovely comments.
The green man in the tree is in my (in the green image) and I was thinking about putting him (hidden) in all my future images like a signature for my work,
I love the green man I have lots of different ones hidden around my house and garden, you can find their origin on the internet.

A beautiful, atmospheric, sexy picture. I would love to see it larger as I'm sure I'm missing a lot of the subtlety at this size.
Nice to see a guest appearance of the Green Man from one of your previous works.
Wonderful work Maureen. So imaginative.

I dont know why but a lot of my pictures look a little blured when bigger.
is it because I am making them smaller to put on the site?. I also stretch images, could that be the reason?

Hi there Maureen...sorry I been away a bit... I missed seeing your talent! Came here to get some inspiration and found it in your image! Very nice details... Wish I could have seen it bigger in this oneSad However...I notice some things that I like about this... One..The father time figure embedded in the tree far left. Two: the trees behind the two lovers that kiss are inter twined to each other as if they are two loving each other! Three: the most noted! A new life to the left from the Life of the 2 to the right...and last but not least! The child has become and been added as a part of GAIA! EXCELLENT!

Hi Maureen. I love your conception of the conception ! An excellent image true to your folk song description.
I think the green man as a signature of your work is a sound idea.

I dont know why but I thought in this image he represented a spirit watching over and protecting the lovers.

Brian.
