Strong image - both good but the tree makes the theme easier to understand. There is an aftermath to Xmas. Have a wonderful new year. A

D'you know, I feel just like this. Too much stuff! Most of it junk and hardly any of it needed. An ugly and wasteful use of the Earth's resources. Excellent work.

V2 seems to say it best.
Since we recycle almost everything, our trash was contained in only one bag.
I do think that Christmas has become too much about the presents and not enough about Christmas.

CHris

got it in one chris
stuff
i say do we really need any more stuff,

er actually need so little to be happy and well,
we surround ourselves with all these false promises of happiness,
only to be disappointed,
happiness can only come from inside.
ourselves that is
not inside a shop.

this is a poem i wrote a few years ago,,

there selling me a dream again this Christmas
they're telling me its goodwill to all men
but they will shoot and kill
then eat they're fill
while credit cards are bartered with a pen.

they're selling me a dream again this Christmas
the tables will be filled with festive food
and presents will be piled so high
while killers will invade my sky
and still we will all try for Christmas mood.

they're selling me a dream again this Christmas
the cards arrive all falling on my floor
but as the day appears at last
and money drains away so fast
is this what you want....
are you really sure.

they're selling me a dream again this Christmas
but i just want to shut my door
i want to stop
and start afresh
Christmas now is in a mess,
with a plastic santa claws in every store.

they're selling me a dream again this Christmas
they've promised me a day that's full of thrill
but i don't want this hype and gloom
or adverts tossed across my room.
such happiness comes with a bitter pill.
