Well hats off to all those specialists on the butterfly front.............. what a game trying to get one to stay still long enough to focus and compose, than add to that the mist from the humidity in the butterfly house and on top of that I am TERRIFIED of one landing on me.....

So this is it.... my attempt (poor it may be) of capturing my favourite of the butterflies on the day. Many thanks to Tony ( Bromley Smith) for the chance to get this one, but his is so much better - and to Lesley a nice day out at the Zoo.

Absolutely exquisite. I love the composition - wonderful detail, velvety textures and iridescent blues of the butterfly's wings in direct contrast with the roughly textured rope perch and softly blurred blue/green bg tones. Love it!

Looks very good to me. Every time I've tried to do anything like that the butterflies are always to quick for me. (Perhaps its something to do with them having a bigger brain than me!)
I think that I will have to try super glue. Only joking about the glue that is not the brain. Sad Wink
