With a nice sunset I asked my mates to pose for this one on my way back from St Davids on the weekend, I like the colours in the sky, I appreciate tips on my composition of the shot though.

Nice shot, I like the sky colours as well.

The composition's fine but you must know the foreground and the two figures are too dark. A slight increase in exposure would help the detail in the figures and foreground.

My advice would be to either bracket your exposures so you can blend them in a photoshop type program, use a graduated neutral density filter to balance the exposure of the sky and the land or use fill-in flash to give the figures enough light to see them by.

I think fill-in flash would be the best way to achieve a decent photo of this scene, perhaps with a 0.3 ND Grad as well. The only problem with an NDGrad is the top of the figures would appear darker than the legs. The flash should help with this.

Its a nice silhouette, but have to agree with paintman.

I also loaded a mod, had the same issue, - but also suggested a crop that places the couple on a third for an improved composition.

I would keep it, - it will be appreciated by the couple.

regards

Willie

Thanks for the Input guys, I did try a mode on my camera that fires the flash but for some reason it would not fire at the time.
