Egyptian vultures have become extinct in the wild in South Africa.
V2 - Hooded Vulture - they use their long slender necks to access the meat scraps from carcass crevices that the bigger scavengers miss. This one is a victim of a power line encounter near the Kruger National Park which left him unable to fly again.
Thanx for the votes and comments on the Nyala - a special thank you to Ivor who has set him free to roam in the wild again by his great mod !!
