Deadly Embrace
WW1 Series (3)
First of all my apologies for being posted missing the last few days - my computer ‘died’ and it has been a frustrating time getting a replacement up and running and restoring all the data and s/w from the external discs. Had completed this one prior to the crash - and may be a wee while before all the PS stuff is up and working.
Typical of the later WW1 encounters is the initial pass followed by a hard pull into a tight circle. The better pilot or more agile aircraft will slowly gain sufficiently on the other combatant to bring the sights to bear - breaking from such a tight formed circle was dangerous in the extreme with cloud the more likely saviour.
Composite images of rebuilt Nieuport (French Escadrille Lafayette) and one of the famous ’Circus’ Fokker Triplanes from recent air shows and a local skyscape.

Another excellent image full of drama and action. Lovely work, as always.
