Bride, Wedding

Bride, WeddingNot a bad photograph but there are a couple of areas that could be improved upon.

The good points are her pose which is nice and the exposure on her dress is ok, good detail has been maintained.

I find the inclusion of the Fireplace and the ornament on top of it a little distracting, obviously I was not there so don't know the layout of the room, but if you could have moved slightly so that it was cropped out it would greatly improve the photo.

I also would have liked to have seen more of her dress to add a little more interest, or perhaps you cold have asked her to turn her head slightly so we could see the side of her face.

There is probably a nice light coming through the window that you could have made more of, you could have reflected a little light onto the back of her head to add a little detail in her hair, it looks a little blocked up to me, almost pure black.

A nice photograph though that I am sure the bride will love, and it is good to see you posting your work on here.

Arab in the Marketplace.

Arab in the Marketplace.I would say that your Camera has been tricked into under exposing the main subject here by the very bright background. Perhaps setting your camera to 'Center Weighted' or 'Spot Metering' mode would have solved the problem. Another solution would have been to dial in +1 or even +2 in this circumstance into the exposure compensation setting.

Otherwise this has the makings of a great character study.

love? fear? respect?

love? fear? respect?Great timing, framing, subject, Depth of Field and colours... and a good title to boot. It does look a tad dark on my screen though.
