I agree with Willie, there a little high on the stairs making the background above the grooms head a little annoying, so it would have been better from a step or two down and shooting from a little more from the lhs.

Never be afraid to use flash, learn to use it creatively off camera.

Quote: There is a lot going on this in photo, interesting background, hidden signage, and distracted security. Try smaller aperture f8 or higher to bring in more DOF. Shift position to take advantage of the roads lending to the interesting view at the background and also crop off the plain and distracting bin. If you can bend a little to bring your camera lower to the level of the guard on the chair.

Remove the bin ?

Its an important part of the composition, lol Smile Smile

I just love the effect a sporting event can have Smile

In the film, losing the cup is the catalyst for identical twin brothers Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss to sue the Facebook founder.

The Harvard rowers claimed they invented Facebook, and fought a multi-million dollar court battle with their erstwhile colleague Mark Zuckerberg.

Thanks Chris I was quite happy with the end effect of using a little fill flash, not everyone was happy though Smile

If this had been in the main gallery I`d probably have just flicked passed it, the girl would have looked ok in a dance studio but as it is, she`s just not meshing with her surroundings.

As it is, its not really doing anything for me, the stick figure in the doggy position on the rhs looks interesting, not sure why you would want to put a beam of light on it though, or why you left so much of the wall in the shot.

I would have used the light on the right hand side to throw a little more light into the hair and side of her face, perhaps Rembrandt style, a smaller aperture to pull out a little more detail in the girl, and a little less light on the background for the separation.

Not sure if I would have used a softbox either, there great when you want a softer light, but softer light can also soften detail. I might have gone for something a bit stronger, maybe some directional lighting fitted with a grid to bring out more definition in her arms.

Looks like a good location for a few smoke machines and colour gels.
