Taken with the Vivitar 200mm f3 (crop equiv 400mm) wide open.

The depth of fields just a few inches at this aperture and distance.

Noticed for the first time recently, wide open in certain condition CA sometimes appears, but that`s easily removed in Photoshop, closed down a stop or two it goes.

Nice capture Paul - the large version shows more of the detail tapering off from under the chin, the eye-lashes and lips, into the cheek, emphasising the shallow dof. I don't use my telephoto enough for portrait work.
Looks good in mono.

Like the use of the lens with that shallow depth of field, works well in mono too

Excellent image. Great depth and intensity.
