While out walking without my tripod, I seen these and decided to give macro a second attempt. Without a tripod is even harder, so I had to improvise and use a broken fence post near by.

If you have a tripod you won't see any subjects.It's sods law.
Anyhow its even harder with one as they move about so much there's no time to set it up.I know from my limited experience.
Keep trying.

I know Paul is a newcomer to SLR photography so this is a superb effort.

Macro photography is not easy so this is a good start!
