I am not sure if this image works or not and looking for a second opinion.
Thanks

is that your shadow bottom corner?
its a sort of half way house you have here, there is an obvious attraction with the shadows and the windows etc yet the composition is lacking something to actually say i am the main point of interest here and i cant find it so although its sort of nice, it dosnt hold interest.
i think you could make more of the masonary by conversion in a different channel and by some sharpening at a larger rad. main think is i think it needs some human interest in there. its a sort of stage without an actor if you know what i mean.
best regards
Phil

Hello Newmanp
Thanks for the comments, yes it is me in the bottom corner trying to keep out the way...And yes I know what you mean with something lacking that's why I posted here because I was not sure myself.Though I do like black and white photography and I am inspired by the old photographers like Edward Weston, Juan Rulfo for example and I like to produce black and white work and often on the look out for subjects that would work well.I guess this did not work out so well but I could always go back and approach in a different way for example like you said capture more of the masonry. But thanks again it is appreciated.
Paul
Hi Frank yes your right this only part of the castle though was not sure what else to call it.Anyhow I appreciated your comments more importantly and that's why I posted this photo here as I was not sure myself if this was a good shot or not and taking note of yours and Phils comments I think I ll need to shoot this again.
Thanks again
Paul
