Quote: Beautiful image. Standing on Loughrigg if I'm not mistaken??
My favourite part of the country. Have 2 or 3 weeks a year in Ambleside

Spot on. On the ascent to Loughrigg's summit.

Like it Ant. Whereabouts are you to get this shot? Thinking of going over the weekend to view it but want to avoid the obvious crowds at the viewing park.......i'll keep location secret honest!!

I've spent many an hour at airshows trying to get a shot like this so to capture this unplanned is superb. Well done.

Vulcan at Cosford 2009 by Neddy

Vulcan at Cosford 2009

Saw it last year at Southport. It's a beast!

My average shot has most hits on my PF. Think that sums it up really.

The Cellarium by mark2uk

The Cellarium

I like it a lot Mark. Personally though i'd have done a little crop to take the light out of the bottom left of the image.

Other than that, perfect!

Empire State Building Take2 by Paul65

Empire State Building Take2

Thanks everyone. Appreciate the comments.

Not too sure about the B&W Carol. I think the contrast between sky & building works best in colour. B&W would, I think, lose the impact of this shot.

Empire State Building by Paul65

Empire State Building

Thanks guys. To be honest this was the questionable part of the image in my opinion too but thought i'd leave it in for comment - distracting building v's too much sky??
I've had a go at cloning out the building but I'm having some problems as I can't get the gradual change in sky saturation to match. In other words, you can see the join.
How do I get rid of this to make the job better? I'm using Elements 5.
Thanks

Blimey, had to look at this twice to see what you'd done here.
An optical illusion superbly captured.
