The colours are there but the comp's a bit tight for me. lovely light on the strip of sea but the castle doesnt appear to be light enough considering the conditions. It should be lit with a beautiful stream of morning sun.

A great edition of this classic view. The light is splendid and the silhouetted castle atmospheric.

Warm regards, Iain.

It would be nice if the weather that day gifted me with a beautiful stream of morning sun... this gap in the clouds only lasted a few minutes before it closed up an started snowing again

I understand that happens but theres a lot of light on the foreground areas and there should be some falling onto the castle unless you really stacked the hard grads?

Not meaning to be overly critical lol ... just trying to understand the conditions. Hope I've not offended.

I think its full of drama and i like the grasses in the foregnd. obviously the black cloud is stopping the light fall on the castle. it would have been a nice touch though

I was using a 2 stop ND grad, but it went diagonally across the picture, so not over the castle

This is Northumberland not the tropical South!!! The light looks pretty authentic, thin and cold. Super comp, and the reflections on the sea are fabulous.
