This self portrait was taken to celebrate the humble Syringe as without this medical device I could not live being a type1 diabetic, also many life saving drugs would be useless without this delivery system.
A far reaching document > 10 < +++++
Although I appreciate the invention of the Syringe, I'm not so sure about the image, its a little sickly........Martin
If staying alive is sickly then fair enough.
Dramatic black and white photo brings home the message of living with diabetes. Hope they find a cure soon. I also like the expression in the eyes and face and posture.
Sorry Paul if I have upset you in anyway, I appreciate the syringe and that is keeps people like yourself alive, I am not having a dig at that fact, It is purely the image you have put on, turns my stomach a bit.........Regards Martin
It's ok Martin, It's not everyones cup of tea I know , thanks for looking at it though.
this is brilliant.
Thanks Carmen, I love your work by the way.
I did wonder what was going on here before I read your description. A cracking self portrait, one with a message, one that makes you think.
An important image, reflecting your diabetes with impact ! Excellent and to the .....point Paul. Ron.
A strong image, I too hope for a cure soon as my daughter is type 1,I wish I could take it all away from her,Well done on your message Paul.
