Hi Paul,

Good POV a good capture, well done. Paul I can see you've used the D700 but which lens? I'm asking because in the very near future I will be getting a 700 and a 24-70 f2.8, so I'm looking for feedback on the lens.

Paul I opened this image into ACR and there was a little bit of recovery needed. Then if you use elements/Ps etc you can alter the vibrance and saturation to bring out the colours in the sky, I added 28% vibrance and 3% saturation. Next in you blend modes select "Overlay" which will give it a bit of a punch has it makes the light colours lighter and the dark colour's darker (that's why I boosted the sky first) and I then reduced the opacity to around 35-45% (you can use "Vivid Light" but that's a bit stronger). Don't forget, you can use a layer mask to erase or reduce the effect from certain area's, I erased it from the foreground rock.

see what you think.

Take care
Martin

Excellent sky Paul, and I do like the water coming over the rocks on the left. Lovely image.
