Shot in a Sunday market from the hip. Follows my comments with Dave earlier - cannot be a candid if people are aware. This is very close to the subjects indeed. 10/20 Sigma on aperture priority, f11 and ISO100. About 18mm. Focus on auto, centre point and aim by guess with a bit of cropping and levelling later. EOS 7D. Possibly a tighter crop needed?

i think it's too crowded. and the sign euro and the flower attrack me a lot. the man is not very clear since there is smoke. what do you want to achieve paul?

i look at the image again and i think if you want focus on the man and the smoke, you must crop the sign and the flower. i believe pamela will give you good sugestion because she gave me good sugestion on my image similar with your image.

The blue sky, the red canopy and the white cloud work well together.
Me? I'd crop to the back of the guy's jacket on the left ~ the right hand edge of the sign on the right; and be pleased with it.
The smoke makes sense of the sign (& at a £1 is good value GrinGrin)
The guy is making up his mind - an excellent candid of that situation.
I think your lens and camera have done well to cope with all of that -

So, yes. A tighter crop would do it IMO Smile

What a great deal! Agree with the suggestion to crop to the back of his jacket, elminating the other people and whatever it is near the top left.
