Hover fly in flight. One of about 10 frames as I chased him about. Lens on auto focus as an experiment - usually use manual for macro. EOS 7D with 150mm Sigma Macro and Sigma ring flash set to x2 exposure compensation from experience. 1/160 sec @ f18. ISO100.

It is a well taken and well composed image Paul. I have to admit to agreeing with your comment re the background colour though. Impossible to change (for me at least) the background colour due to the translucency of the wings, but an excellent picture nevertheless.
