No decent walk over the mountains would be worth it if there wasn't a reward at the end... Smile

Cheers

Love this-- a frontier pub-- love everything about it-- the flag, old signs, wagon wheels-- a fanciful night out with out door dining!

1798? The place has had time to grow mellow.
I like your use of wide angle, it's subtle, just sufficiently quirky.

Cheers guys. Appreciate the comments. 1798, yes. There was a major rebellion in Ireland at the time. Repelled of course as they all were. I always recommend to anyone who visits Dublin to check this place out. The food is just superb. Mostly seafood and given that its supposed to be the highest pub in the country thats a tad ironic. Irish music 7 days a week and you'll be enthralled by the array of antiques and pieces of memorabilia of all sorts hanging from the walls, ceilings and just about every corner of the place. We visit the place a few times a year and one of our favourite things to to is take a walk in the hills and then stop off for a pint of Guinness and a bowl of the best seafood chowder you'll taste.

Cheers

Paul

Nice one Paul! I lived within cycling distance of this pub and often whizzed past on an energetic cycle. Great pub too!
