Taken on board a drilling rig that was being towed from Scotland to Las Palmas.
This was taken just heading out of the English channel and into the Bay of Biscay and a force 9 gale starting.
The boat in the foreground was the towing vessel.

Love it. Would like to see a tad more underneath the boat.

Thanks Chris. It was difficult to get the shot as I was on board the rig and it was really blowing at the time. Any lower below the boat and I would have had the railing of the rig etc in the shot too and I didnt want that. =)

Beautiful shot, wonderful colours, and I am glad it wasnt me hanging over the railings :S - I would love to see this hanging on my wall. Well done.

fantastic image

Done a stint on semi-subs in the dim and distant past Paul so I can relate to this very dramatic shot, feet firmly onshore these days but with ocasional visits to fixed platforms. What do you do offshore?

Excellent. Can't imagine what it must feel like on such rough seas.
Impressive, moody shot.

Just had to give this an RC. Agree about a little more canvas to the bottom. I might add some and clone in some water if it were mine, it's such an atmospheric image and well worth the effort I should think.

Brilliant shot!
