My cat doesnt seem to be bothered about how close up i go when hes resting, its the camera that stops me gettin any closer.
Took this photo while he slept on the window sill, then altered contrast a bit and made it sepia.

very good detail, sharp as a pin too only thing i would say would be i'm not so keen on the faded out area.. apart from that a good picture

I find the out of focus paw a little distracting too but I don't think it would work without it as you'd lose the whiskers. Very restful image. Great use of a low viewpoint. The toning works a treat.

This is abeautiful image, the closed eye and the shallow depth of field gives it a very personal look at your cat, It reminds me of Willow who was my cat and looked just like this.

Great shot, but again why the faded area?
Must have been done for a reason I'm sure, but would a straight crop have worked better?
