Another photo from up machen mountain. I think that large mound/mountain in the background is a heap of waste from the mining... the sun is a bit bright again.
Does anyone know how much graduated filters cost? (cheaper ones). Thanks.
[ p.s. its my birthday today =) ]

Great image - wonderful light!
Grads - The 'cheaper' versions of the Cokin filters you can get in a starter pack of the 3 you would find the most useful 1, 2 and 3 stops or 0.3, 0.6, 0.9 depending on how they show it - when I bought this Cokin set 2-3 years ago it was around £35 all in including the filter holder. Not sure how much they are now....the downside - I found they gave a colour cast to my images (magenta or orange) so I swapped to Lee filters which are more expensive but you get hand made filters which are superb. I bought a starter set of the same 3 filters and a superb filter holder for around £130?

Filters are like lenses - you pay for what you get.

Hope that helps!

Mark

Lovely shot! The clouds to the right look amazing and the colours are soooo warm. Although the sun is so burnt out it actually hurt to look at it, still a good pic though!

Mick.
