Good evening, many thanks for the votes, comments and HC on yesterdays upload. Much appreciated. Tonights upload is a little different, a bird all the same, but this Male Chaffinch wouldn't play ball(well, they're not tame). I noticed that it kept looking at the lens over the top of this mossy log. This is the resulting image. All C&C's most welcome please, as I'm not sure if it works? Please view large if poss. Thanks in advance.
Merry Christmas everyone,
Paul Rosser.

Excellent detail and comp Paul, with a nice clean BG mate.
Very nice work Paul, you've captured its character spot on, not to mention perfect technical details.
It's nice to see the occasional shot like this that's a bit different, especially when it's not at all contrived and shows the bird behaving naturally. I think Jack's tighter crop actually makes this even better by concentrating in on the bird. Moving the eye higher than the third hints that he's maybe just popped his head up, adding to the 'peekaboo' idea.
