A technically competent shot, and I love the reflections.

I would suggest you get down lower for a shot like this which can make the car appear more aggressive.

Colour, exposure, are all really good.

I loaded a mod which has absolutely nothing at all to do with assisting with your shot, I just could resist showing what is possible with a god shot like this.

the basic approach was to perform perspective distortion and size distortion to make it look as if you were lower, and the rest is just atmospheric stuff.


I hope this fuels you creative juices!

You've done an excellent job of editing out the background but I think the foreground needs to go, too. There's rather a lot of it and it's quite messy.

Hi DRicherby, thank you, and I agree, this shot came from a lucky snap as it were, rather than a planned shot, and my first thoughts were to isolate the background whilst trying to bring the foreground out, although in hind sight, it needs to either go, or become the focus! but there isn't enough there for that to be realistic i think.!

What a shame that you are not quite central on the car . I would take all the background to black and light the headlamps with photoshop as well as cloning out the tax disc which detracts from the car itself .

A well balanced shot I agree with grampy about the tax disc I probably would have cropped the the front paving out and cloned the leaves over the rest of the paving .Rob
