great shot - works really well in b&w with the lines of the fence Smile

I recognise that fence!
This is lovely Alethea, works well in B&W, you've managed to get a good tone and contrast to this Smile

Great composition - lacks a horizon line - maybe a little photoshop work to select the small portion of sky and darken ever so slightly to great a finish point in the scene if that makes sense. Terrific lead in from the fence and works brilliantly in black and white. Cheers, Martin

Fabulous tonal range. Have to agree with Martin though on the sky, could do with a little more interest here. Great shot on the whole.

Thanks for those comments, and you are so right about the horizon line, the conditions were far too bright and I've added a gradient to combat it, and was not sure if this worked.

Just have to go back and try with different conditions, but this is the angle I liked, so appreciate all your comments very much.

A very nice monochrome picture with the fence leading you in.i think for my own taste . i would have reversed it to make the fence lead in from the left. but still a good shot.

I was just going to ask if that is Rhossili but looking at your other pictures confirm that it is. I was there recently and didn't do a great job with the pictures - I think I shall have to go back!

Love this one Alethea. Enough of a horizon fading into the sun for me - a left-handed Worm - no!
Great light on the fence.

Brian.

I've often walked past this fence and never thought of it as a photo opportunity. This is a great treatment; the black and white works so well. I particularly like the way the fence mirrors the line of cliffs behind it. Great texture on the wooden slats in the foreground, and for me, the sky is just about right.

great shot like the depth that the fence gives to the shot and that it leads your eye in
