Out with Diana we were on top of a hill overlooking the Dorset coastline.
By day this old lookout is an interesting visit but by night..........!!!!
The moon was coming up behind and backlighting the building. The sky was crystal clear and before the moon crept over the top I was able to capture this one.
Just a touch of light painting.
It really does need to be seen large to see all the stars.Smile

Fabulously atmospheric. And also the most intriguing thumbnail of the night!

Cracking atmospheric shot, the large version does show off the stars very well.

Thanks I'm pleased with this one as I messed up most of the shots that night with poor focusing & shaky tripod.Sad

Thanks Robin & Jack.
Robin:-It's a place to look out for the next time you're travelling the coast road between Weymouth & Bridport.

I like these, especially V1 and I also like you Penny even though I'm starting to think you're a bit weird. Wink Seriously though it is this 'pushing the envelope' stuff that makes your pf so fascinating. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Diana I really like the constellations in this one.
When exactly did you lose me? Was it when I went off to do the recce to save leading you on a wild goose chase just in case we'd gone off on the wrong track? (As if we would ever do that.)
I knew where you were all the time?
I still wonder what the motorists thought if they happened to look up to the top of the hill while we were light-painting the lookout.
