By coincidence Helen (Helenlinda) uploaded a shot the subject of which is very close to this and titled it as "Opposites". I shot this yesterday at the back of a tile manufacturer's kiln which has not been used for a long time. My son with several of his friends are applying wall painting onto the front fašade of it with the permission of the owner, and I visited the place to see their work and take some shots. When leaving I came across with this amazing phenomenon. It looks like a bonsai grown in a rusty pipe stuck in a concrete block. I don't know what the thorny bush is called, all I know about it is that it's a delicacy for camels. Hope you like the it.

Thank you all for the clicks and kind comments on my yesterday's upload!

How extraordinary. One of my occasional themes is life clinging on in inhospitable circumstances, I think you've scooped the jackpot there! And beautifully composed.

A fascinating sight. I'm sure I have seen such kilns on Lindisfarne, the building and in particular the arches are very reminiscent.
Lovely composition, Nezih. The plant looks like a kind of thorn bush.
