Todays image was captured yesterday during a brief and blustery outing to the beach.
I hope that you all have a great day, for me well I shall just take the day as it comes.

A short extract from 'Sea Fever' for you this morning Nathan, which goes well with your captivating image. Have a good day - John.
I must go down to the seas again, for the call of the running tide
Is a wild call and a clear call that may not be denied;
And all I ask is a windy day with the white clouds flying,
And the flung spray and the blown spume, and the sea-gulls crying.
Excellent composition with bird as the added bonus. Lovely.
Excellent shot of this wild sea. so glad you managed to get out for a while,
Perfect in mono - this is a lovely image of a wild and windy day by the sea.
An evocative title and image Nathan, you have controlled the tricky light very well to give the impression of turbulent motion. Great stuff.
Sea gull you fly across the horizon, into the misty morning sun
no one asks you where you are going
nobody knows where your from................
Unfortunately not my words but so apt for this fantastic photo.
Well done Nathan.
Wonderful image Nathan.
Great, looks cold & wild! I like the almost empty feel to it.
Great title and great image. Unusually, having the bird dead centre really works so well. Ann.
Beautiful. Birds looks a bit noisy.
Super image Nathan, great tones and you really have caught the power of the sea, like it a lot
What a beautiful image Nathan...water and feathers, my favourites....you have won me.
Love the wave shadow - good shot, Nathan.
A superb mono scene, Nathan.
Soon be watching the calm waters down there Nathan
this has worked well in mono as adds to the atmosphere
I love the layers Nathan but most of all - you got out to take some photos!!
Sounds like the wind's going to continue for a few more days - and get wetter too! Great capture here Nathan, with wonderful light bouncing off the sea

My goodness that sea looks a bit rough, great image though.
A really nice 'into the light image' Nathan!! There's a good bit of swell on the sea and you have timed your capture well!!
Stunning image, Nathan. Great comp, light & title. Great creativity here. Hope all well.
Amazing shot Nathan, super pov and great subject matter.
Fabulous capture Nathan, a very atmospheric image
A bracing walk on the beach followed by fish and chips and maybe a pint.............the stuff of dreams.
Looks a bit rough out there Nathan.
But you will know you have to take the rough with the smooth !!
Beautiful with those layers and that wonderful bird silhouette!
Excellent light on the waves Nathan, cracking composition. That water looks really cold.
Excellent Nathan, what a super shot and you had sunlight too. sent you a piece of cake as an award. Patty
Great shot Nathan. Hope you are feeling better. Cathy
Cracking shot Nathan the surf looks a little rough
A very dramatic and stormy seascape Nathan, you've captured the power of the waves brilliantly and I like the inclusion of the gulls
Clever mathematics here on the settings and something I will have to try out.
Hope you are keeping well.

An excellently composed and captured image Nathan. Amazing light
A great active capture with good shadow against a lovely reflection. Well done Nathan.
Beautiful! I would love to have the opportunity to take photos near the ocean, but the prairie doesn't allow me to.
Quite a surf. Great quality of light. Love the bird, makes the whole thing work, Nathan.
This is a swell image, as the Yanks would say, Nathan
The title's pretty swell, too..!
All the best,
Wonderful atmospheric picture!
A well composed image with great light, the bird is spot on which to me makes the image even better.
I can feel that sea breeze Nathan! Best to stay indoors today though!
This dark band makes the compositional originality of the picture, and the bird, a cherry on the cake
just in time shot, .. serene and well balanced
Looks very invigorating, Nathan. Mono is perfect.
