Good day to you all ePz

Just woken after a relatively good nights sleep although the winds did disturb me once or twice.

Thank you for all your great comments, votes and User Awards from the following: Sue118 (Sue), Ali63 (Ali), Lillian (Lillian), and digital_boi (Graham).

Todays image shows another image of a rescued bird, her name is Daphne she is a three year old Mute Swan and was shot with a Cross Bow. She made a great recovery but at one stage it was touch and go. After her recovery she was released back to a local lake near Maidstone (Kent) where she has continued to grow from strength to strength.

I hope that you all have a wonderful day, I shall be spending most of the day with Julie.

Regards Nathan GrinGrinGrin

An imposing and striking image of this Mute swan, well exposed and good detail close up. Had you not told us, I would have thought it was a male as the knob at the base of the bill is quite large (the only way to easily tell the sex's apart in Mute Swans), but I gather there is a degree of variation.
