Okay, normal service resumed. Albert Bridge again, at night, downstream on the North side. 'Pearly King' because it looks bedecked with pearls (yes, I know, Albert was only a Consort - poetic licence
)
Iso200, f9, 0.3secs, 15mm, tripod and remote release.
I needed to try out the previous floral shots as we're off to Holland/Belgium early tomorrow for the Floriade, a flower festival held every 10 years in Holland. I'm not sure what to expect but if the flowers don't work out I can always go and find some mountain landscapes. Anyway, I shall be with you today but then going awol for a few days, so I shall catch up with you all next week,
hasta luego,
Dave

mountain landscapes ....I dont think so..![]()
I lived in the nederlands for years and the floriade really is special ... not just some flowers .
Oh I do feel envious
Where are they holding it?
A fabulous image ! Great to see.Saw this in day time on my way to the Chelsea flower show and it just looked so wonderful!
(Dermot Mcgavin got his inspiration for his scaffold garden design this year from the scaffolding that was on this bridge last year !)

The Albert Bridge as I have never seen it, Dave: fabulous night time capture, and very nicely titled too.
Composition and exposure as always just spot on.
Have a great trip to Holland: I shall look forward to your floral images, but especially so your mountain landscapes from a land below sea level![]()

Looks like it belongs in a fairground! Expert exposure control. Great eye for a visually attractive subject. I like the angle. My only offer of constructive criticism would be I'm unconvinced by the necessity for the dead space at the bottom of the image. I wonder if a square crop would make a more dynamic (not a usual word for square frame, I know) comp?
Have a great time trekking the Dutch mountains ![]()
A superb night shot, Dave....it does look like it's covered in pearls! ![]()

Love this shot - the bridge is really well exposed and bright without being too bright if you see what I mean, all in all a very well executed shot.

I love all the bridges along the Thames being a bit of a mud lark as a kid, spent a lot of time along the river, Your portfolio is like a fine wine to me, needs to be enjoyed slowly over a period of time and not rushed, like it, regards Leon. many lovely photo's on this site!![]()
