Whilst on a stroll past my local ecology centre, I saw my mate the heron, I was going to just ignore him and continue my walk, when he caught this giant fish! unfortunatly he had to let it go as it was to big for him, and so was left with just chips.

Watcha P&C
excellent capture, on both partsSmile I would expect the heron to let go, that fish looks like a perch, with those spines, I doubt that it would go down very well.

Great capture; pretty ambitious bird! I love the way the heron is squatting on his knees, or whatever you call that with a heron.

Cracking capture. It might have been the spines on the perch. That would have been a price catch for any fisherman.

The fish was wise to keep his dorsal fin up, but I guess it met it's fate anyway. I've seen them successfully down sandabs.
