clevedon pier by jacquienewsham The sea is straight, isn't it? The cloud's causing an illusion on the right. |
This reminded me of a Henri Cartier-Bresson photo taken in Arbres (you'll find it if you search for "cartier bresson arbres" on Google Images). |
Guess what it is::))) by deavilin Technically, it's an ommatophore belonging to a land snail. |
You're lucky you got away with it! I saw a very upset Japanese tourist being told off by two community support "officers" for using a tripod there, with her little Nikon Coolpix, although a gang of drunks in the park off to your left were allowed to carry on causing a nuisance. I love the sky colour you've got here, I'm always impressed that anyone ventures there with a camera after dark - I wouldn't! |
I was in Prague for several months a few years ago and was never able to get into the Golden Lane; the queues went on for miles and I bet the lane wasn't as "unseething" as this. I love the shadows & the overall tonal range you've got here, and the composition is great, too. |
Good shot. The grammar needs a bit of attention, though.. |
Twinn Towers New York by osandberg I took a similar shot in 1987 (I guess most people who went there shot 'straight up') but my shot was no-where near as dramatic as yours is. Why didn't I think of shooting it like you did? Doh! Well done! |
2 January. Snowless Prague. by GeorgeRusky Very nice exposure. The river's the Vltava (doesn't exactly trip off the tongue!). I lived there a couple of years ago and waited and waited and waited for it to snow in winter, but despite the BBC forecasts of heavy snow, there was hardly a flake, so eventually I gave up. :-( |
Tuscan farmhouse by bravo charlie Lovely! |
Well done! I agree with Mike & Mick. Whenever I see a view like this, there's normally half a dozen cars parked right in front of it. |
Venice - street life by cats_123 I think this is a lovely counterweight to all those very early morning shots in St Mark's Square that have only a couple of pigeons in them! |
Sunset and High Water by Joop_Snijder This'll win awards! A really lovely effort. |
