Photo365 - 263 - Stirred paint

Finally got around to adding the colour to the kitchen cupboards I started work on a few weeks ago. As I was stirring the paint this evening I noticed the interesting patterns and photographed them. Taken with the Pentax K20D and 100mm macro.

Photo365 - 262 - onion slice

I'm cooking a beef curry tonight and while I got the onion sliced I slipped a bit on the lightbox for a backlit shot with the Pentax K20D and 100mm macro lens.

Photo365 - 260 - conkers

Photo365 - 259 - it's raining

I'm still making the most of the poppies that grew in my garden and I decided to try out my new hose pipe (bought for 4 from Tesco yesterday). I took the Elincrom D-Lite flash outdoors and positioned it to the right and behind the poppy heads. I then set the Pentax K20D camera up in front and at a...

Photo365 - 258 - baslow edge

As the sun looked like it was going to be around at sunset I decided to take a trip out to Baslow Edge to photography my favourite rock. As I approached the cloud was minimal but as the sun sunk lower, some cloud appeared to give me just the right amount of atmosphere. I took some from the usual spo...

Photo365 - 257 - fungi

I walked back along the canal today after a visit to the post office. I didn't take my camera but spotted a cluster of fungi in the hedgerow. I always carry the iPhone so it was time to get the Hipstamatic out. Thankfully it takes decent close ups. This was with the camera resting on the floor I cou...

Photo365 - 256 - worksop cinema

I took a photo of the site where the cinema is going to be built a few months ago for my daily photo365 project. Since I took that photo time seemed to have stood still. I visited the site day after day, week after week and nothing appeared to be happening. And then today only a week or so since my ...

Photo365 - 255 - fungi forage

My first trip into the woods to photograph fungi. I combined the 90min walk with part of a bag review I'm doing. So I filled the backpack full of items I would use and items I wouldn't to get a feel for what it's like at full capacity. This is a small shroom, about 1in tall photographed with the...

Photo365 - 251 - Apple

So continuing my fruit and veg theme I've photographed an apple in a black bowl. I have an old spray bottle that used to come in a kit form with the Tamron 90mm macro. I used that to spray water over the apple and bowl before taking the shot with a Pentax K20 and 16-45mm lens. The light is my diy ri...

I sliced my pineapple up as thin as I could and placed the slither on an old Jessops lightbox to backlight it. I then used auto metering and over exposed by half a stop to get the bright effect. Taken with Pentax K-5 and 16-45mm lens.

Photo365 - 249 - pineapple

I have a new theme to introduce to my photo365 blog - fruit and veg. I will from time to time use my daily post for a different way of shooting fruit and veg.
