Mablethorpe or somewhere like that. I decided the two signs should come together in the frame and have done a bit of selective dodging and burning to accentuate that point

lol - what could be beyond fun, I wonder?

'beyond' is such an old fashioned word, whilst 'fun' is so modern.

Really like this - so dark and uninviting. As the title says `Beyond Fun`.

A Sony, Pete? Thought you were a Pentax guy, through and through? Not such a great fan of the vignette but an interesting shot nonetheless.

I'm surprised you can find the time to get out with the camera.... Wink

It's the 'big fun' sign at the back which made me chuckle Wink

Mablethopre... oh dear childhood memories *shudder* they certainly were beyond any kind of fun, far, far beyond! Wink

I think the vignette and Dodge and Burn is a bit on the heavy side though

Thanks all Smile
That's two that say it's too heavy. I wanted it to look grim while adding highlight to the two words...but maybe I've gone overboard then.

I might bring it back about 10-15% on the vignetting side, but no more

I think the letters to either side of ' BEYOND ' need cloning out...?

I'd crop some off the bottom too. There's a strong sense of bygone escapism and now charming irony with these type of seaside place shots that is melancholy - nostalgic and artistic.

The darker the better for me, i agree about the cloning out the words beyond the beyond, cracking image some eerie fun to be had here...

I like it as it is..works probably only in bw
