Stitchwort taken in Old Spring Wood in Thorpe Salvin. It's the first time I've been and it's on the doorstep. It has a carpet of bluebells, wild garlic and offers lots of 'shroom potential. There's even some out now!

What you doing uploading next to mine..........
A nice enough image, contrasts very well with the BG colour, isolated nicely too.
The out of focus flower in the BG does attract the eye especially the bright highlight bit.
Won't be ranked as one of your best, but it's pleasant enough.
There ya go

love the selected focus on this wild flower, the green BG gives such a lot to the flower, it has a dreamy feel with the green of the BG & the OOF flower beautiful, the bud to the side adds so much to keep your eye... makes me want to go out and find, so I can see what I can come up with SmileP

nicely taken and composed, smidge of noise and the top flower a bit close to the top, but the dof makes the flower pops out the BG, G

great to have somewhere close by that you can dash off to when time and light get together. I find the bud on the left a bit of an eye puller and for me the picture is the right 2/3. The light is lovely and the detail in the main flower is great, a lovely image Pete,

Compositionally, I like what Grainge has done in his mod.
For me, I like the main flower to be completely in focus. The background use of dof is good, however.

Nice DOF certainly and it's good that you've got a triangular comp going on, but it is really let down by it's rotation. The way you have it at the moment gives a static comp and the main interest at the bottom means that your eye tends to go down and fall out the frame. Rotating your camera to level out the flowers would keep the triangular comp give it a bit more life and hold your eye better.

Some great detail and I do like the use of OOF flower against that swathe of green.

uploaded a mod to show you what i mean.

Thought it was a good comp before I saw Marks mod. The rotation certainly makes a difference but I'll give it a vote anyway as I liked the original. Love the dof you used.
