Taken today as part of my Photo365 project. An afternoon trip to Baslow Edge with the hope of a sunset. It was cloudy and then the blue broke through and the sun in areas, but then the rain came and the sunset was a fading dream. Managed to take the cows while the clouds were interesting
I've exaggerated the colours in Lightroom.
The cow was lit by the built in flash of a Nikon D90 - the background underexposed. The lens is the new Tamron 18-270mm reviewed here

I was up on Baslow Edge tuesday and didn't see a one
I didn't think I would Martin, they were down in the trees near the Monument
How did you find time to upload? great shot I love it and the detail
Superb shot Pete. The red/brown colour of the beast works well against that azure sky.

I purchased the new tamron 18-270 lens a few days ago and must say I am disappointed, I really like the vibration control and the silent drive motor but the image quality does not match the resolution of my older tamron 18-250 zoom lens, I have compared the image quality between the two repeatedly and even had some friends review the results and their conclusion along with mine is that the 18-250 is definitely resolving more detail than the newer lens I now find myself using my older lens more often than the newer model, this is a crying shame really and now find that I will be selling the 18-270 or requesting my money back. Shame on tamron.
